Custard creams and Jammie Dodgers are, we think you’ll agree, about as close to perfection as biscuits get.

Popular supermarket chain Tesco, however, has other ideas about these classic, 80s favourite biccies.

In the ongoing supermarket battle for summer shoppers on the lookout for something a bit different this year, Tesco is changing up its custard cream and Jammie Dodger recipes.

Tesco is already selling a twist on the standard custard cream that introduces rhubarb flavouring to the mix.

Tesco’s own Rhubarb & Custard Creams look virtually the same as your typical custard cream, albeit with the cream filling turned from white to pink.

The Jammie Dodger, traditionally a round sandwich of shortbread and jam, is now also available in a rectangular new variety.

These Jammie Dodgers Jam & Yogurt Snacks aren’t just a different shape, but feature yoghurt mixed in with the jam.

Both Tesco’s Rhubarb & Custard Creams and Jammie Dodgers Jam & Yogurt Snacks are available to buy now.

We’ll let you be the judge of whether or not Tesco has committed biscuit blasphemy with the changes.
