Do You Remember Sean From ‘The Monster Squad’? Check Him Out Now!

This 1987 horror-comedy is about a group of kids who take on the classic monsters including Count Dracula! It was co-written by Shane Black who also worked on the movies ‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang’ ‘Iron Man 3’ and it was released the same year as his first big film ‘Lethal Weapon’.  Now, ‘The Monster Squad’ has become a cult classic!  So, let’s take a look at the characters of this great film both then and now:


1. Sean Crenshaw – Andre Gower.

He was the star of this movie and the leader of his friends, ‘the monster squad’. He went on to appear in other shows such as ‘Knight Rider’ ‘Night Court‘ and ‘My Two Dads‘.  Then he took a break until 2006 when he appeared in ‘Sweet Deadly Dreams’.

 

2. Patrick – Robby Kiger.

He was Sean’s best friend in this film. He previously played in the movie ‘Children of the Corn’. He later went on to play in ‘Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael’ which ended up being his last acting role.

3. Rudy – Ryan Lambert.

He was the eldest of the group and he was the cool one. He also played in the TV show ‘Kids Incorporated’. He later left acting and focused on his singing career in the bands Elephone and Kill Moi.

4. Eugene – Michael Faustino.

He was the young member of the group who had a pet beagle. He also went on to appear in the TV show ‘Married. . . With Children’. He also played in films like ‘Blank Check’ and ‘Suburban Commando’.

5. Phoebe Crenshaw – Ashley Bank.

She was Sean’s adorable little sister who just wants to be part of the squad. She made some guest appearances in ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ and ‘Frasier‘.

6. Frankenstein – Tom Noonan.

Before this, he played in ‘Easy Money’ and ‘Manhunter’.  He later appeared in films like ‘Last Action Hero’ ‘Synecdoche, New York’ and ‘House of the Devil’.

7. E.J. – Jason Hervey.

He played the school bully. He previously played  on ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ and had small parts in the movies ‘Back to the Future’ and ‘Pee-wee’s Big Adventure’. He then went on to play in the popular TV show ‘The Wonder Years’.
