Scroll down the article below to find out which are the top 10 most expensive wedding rings of all time.

10. Jennifer Garner – $500,000

Actress Jennifer Garner is the first famous bride on our list. Ben Affleck proposed to her in 2004 and presented his bride-to-be with a stunning diamond solitaire in a platinum setting. Affleck reportedly shelled out a whopping $500,000 for the piece but it must have been worth it – she said yes!

Unfortunately it’s not clear what will be happening to the ring in light of Garner and Affleck’s recent divorce. The couple called it quits after 13 years together – despite working to keep their family together, Affleck was unable to keep his addictions to alcohol and drugs under control.

9. Jennifer Lopez – $1.2 million

Ben Affleck clearly doesn’t skimp when it comes to engagement rings, because he once presented his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez with this stunning light pink diamond. The piece was designed by renowned luxury jeweller Harry Winston, and reportedly cost Affleck the cool sum of $1.2 million. The price tag might have something to do with the fact that this chunky ring features dazzling 1.6 carat diamonds.

Sadly it didn’t work out for the couple and they never made it up the aisle. Affleck later stated that he couldn’t deal with all of the press attention from his relationship with Lopez.

8. Catherine Zeta-Jones – $2.5 million

Catherine Zeta-Jones is the glamorous Welsh actress best-known for films such as Entrapment and The Mask of Zorro. She got married to fellow actor Michael Douglas in New York on the 18th November, 2000 and the stunning ring above was given to Zeta-Jones by her husband to celebrate their union.

The ring is a 10-carat marquise-cut diamond. It’s quite an unusual design – the ring features the solitare set horizontally instead of vertically, and is surrounded on all sides by 28 smaller diamonds. Douglas forked out over $2.8 million for the piece of jewellery, and we’re guessing Zeta-Jones was more than happy with the ring he chose! After a brief separation in 2013, the couple remain happily married and “stronger than ever”.

7. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis – $2.6 million

Jacky Kennedy Onassis was the embodiment of sophistication and glamour in the 1960s and 70s. After the tragic death of her first husband, John F. Kennedy, Jacky famously went on to marry the Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis. And it’s fair to say that her second husband decided to go all out when it came to his wedding ring for Jacky.

The former First Lady of America received the stunning jewel pictured above when she tied the knot with Onassis. This $2.6 million wedding ring is one of the most expensive items of jewellery ever created, and features a pear-shaped 15-carat diamond. This ring was just the tip of the iceberg for Jacky, who spent five happy years with Onassis before his death in 1973.

6. Melania Trump – $3 million

Melania Trump has come to the public’s attention much more in the last few years, mainly thanks to the antics of her husband – President Donald Trump. But before being thrust into the limelight, Melania lived a life of luxury in Manhattan’s Trump Tower – and nothing gives away that former life more than the sparkling diamond on her ring finger.

When Trump married her husband in 2005 at the Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida, she was presented with a beautiful 15-carat emerald cut diamond which is reportedly worth $3 million. The diamond has been set in a platinum basket and features a beautiful and unique leaf design. Melania and Donald’s wedding was attended by a host of celebrities including Shaquille O’Neal and Heidi Klum, with Billy Joel on hand to provide the music.

5. Jennifer Lopez – $4 million

JLo features on our list once again – this time with a different fiancé, of course. Lopez received a 5-carat, light blue diamond ring from her ex-husband Marc Anthony when he first proposed in 2004. There was no doubting how serious Anthony was about the proposal – he forked out $4 million for the engagement ring, after all!

The couple married a few months after Anthony’s proposal and later had twins Max and Emme together. Sadly their relationship didn’t stand the test of time and Lopez eventually divorced her ex-husband in 2014, exactly ten years after first receiving this gorgeous engagement ring.

4. Grace Kelly – $4.06 million

Film star Grace Kelly famously became Princess of Monaco after accepting a marriage proposal from her husband Prince Rainier in 1956. She was at the height of her acting fame when she decided to give up her Hollywood career at the tender age of 26 years old and live a life of luxury in Europe instead.

The ring that Kelly was presented with reportedly cost Prince Rainier over $4.06 million. Wow! Her ring featured an eye-catching 10.47 emerald-cut diamond, which was surrounded on either side by two large baguette diamonds. It was designed by the luxury French jeweller Cartier and remains an iconic piece in the history of diamond rings.

3. Paris Hilton – $4.7 million

Paris Hilton has never been one to shy away from splashing the cash. She rose to fame after her infamous sex tape and somehow managed to make a career out of wearing expensive clothes, going to parties and carrying dogs around in small handbags. Hilton has also been engaged a number of times, and was once the proud owner of the world’s most expensive engagement ring.

Hilton got engaged to her ex-fiancé Paris Latsis in 2004, and he presented her with a 24-carat diamond solitaire flanked by two more stunning diamonds. Sadly the couple just couldn’t go the distance and broke off their impending wedding the following year. Hilton later sold her ring at a charity auction to support people affected by Hurricane Katrina.

2. Beyoncé – $5.5 million

Beyoncé always manages to dazzle on the red carpet, but part of that might be down to the massive sparkler on her ring finger. Beyoncé is married to rapper Jay-Z, and in 2008 he decided to seal the deal by presenting his wife with a $5.5 million diamond ring.

Beyoncé’s stunning piece of jewellery features a flawless 18-carat diamond, set in platinum and an octagon cut. The price tag is due to the fact that the quality of the diamond is so high. Apparently the stone has been officially certified as a premium stone of exceptional quality. Diamonds are definitely Beyoncé’s best friend.

1. Elizabeth Taylor – $8.8 million

Elizabeth Taylor is beyond doubt the queen of expensive diamonds. As well as being one of the most talented and beautiful actresses of the Golden Age of Hollywood, Taylor also boasted an exceptional array of jewellery (much of it given to her by her many husbands).

Her most famous relationship was with fellow actor Richard Burton (the pair married twice), who decided to go all out when he proposed to Taylor the first time around. The actor presented Taylor with the world’s most expensive diamond, which is known in the business as ‘the Asscher cut’. The ring features as Krupp 33.19 carat IIa certified diamond – the largest in private ownership. The diamond is of exceptional quality, boasting high clarity and chemical purity.

After Taylor’s death, the ring was sold at private auction and currently belongs to an anonymous Asian collector.
