Ten 80s Movies That Inspired Action (Whether Or Not It Was Realistic!)

These were the movies that made us think that our lives were too boring and that we needed to do something about it immediately.  Sometimes it was done for adventure, sometimes out of preparation for the future but for whatever reason, we wanted to get up and go do something about it!

Here are the movies that motivated our imaginations long enough for us to think that it was actually possible and even easy to do!  Take a look:

1. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).

Yes, it starts off in a classroom but ends up schooling us on how boring our lives are without some adventure!

2. The Goonies (1985).

This movie made us want to find treasure maps that lead to life changing money!

3. The Terminator(1984).

This made us want to prepare for a future with robots that want to kill us.

4. The Breakfast Club (1985)

The Breakfast Club made us want to make friends outside of our own groups and fall in love with a complete opposite!

5. Top Gun (1986).

This inspired us to be the best or at least act like the best and come up with cool names for ourselves like, “Ice Man” “Maverick” and “Goose”.

6. Ghostbusters (1984).

This made you follow your dream to catch ghosts.  In fact, there are more ‘ghosthunters’ now than ever before!

7. Footloose (1984).

This movie made you want to challenge the system so that you can finally DANCE!

8. Flashdance (1983).

This made us want to be a professional dancer because dreams CAN come true!

9. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

This made us want to skip a day of school so that we could find our inner ‘Ferris’.

10. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982).

This made us look to the skies, believe in extra terrestrials and buy reese’s pieces candy.
