Macaulay Culkin Reacts To News Of Home Alone Remake With Hilarious Pic
Macaulay Culkin might have chosen to shy away from the spotlight in recent years, but that doesn’t mean the former child actor doesn’t enjoy popping up now and again to royally poke fun at himself.
Responding to the news that Home Alone – the 1990 family comedy that made Culkin a star aged just nine – was getting a remake from Disney, the now-38-year-old actor took to social media with his hot take.[adunit mobile=”RTK_dVa8″]
Culkin, who tweets at @IncredibleCulk, posted a not-exactly-flattering photo of himself to his followers, captioned: “This is what an updated Home Alone would actually look like.”

Sat on a couch surrounded by trays of food and assorted tech, with a burgeoning belly on display, Culkin appears a far cry from the innocent young star of yesteryear.[adunit mobile=”RTK_wCZW”]
After the image was shared more than 68,000 times, Culkin followed up with a tweet addressed to the Mouse House directly, reading simply: “Hey @Disney, call me!”
The news of a Home Alone reboot came yesterday as Disney announced a number of ‘reimaginations’ of its properties, with reboots of Night at the Museum and Diary of a Wimpy Kid also reportedly on the way.[adunit mobile=”RTK_z9hm”]
The titles, which will be exclusive to Disney+, are part of a bid to lure customers away from Netflix and Amazon to Disney’s new streaming service.
Disney+ is currently set to launch in November. Other original titles include live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and Marvel spin-off shows such as WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
