Jerry Maguire kid actor Jonathan Lipnicki admits he almost missed the chance to play iconic role

He was the cute kid who happened to know how many pounds the human head weighs! We often wonder about the little ones in our favorite movies and he’s no exception. Therefore, you’ll be surprised to know that he’s 26-years-old now and it was discovered that he almost didn’t get picked to do this part in ‘Jerry Maguire’! Can you imagine?

He recently appeared on Today Extra and told the world that he almost missed his opportunity to play the role as Ray Boyd in this epic movie.

“I actually read for it and then they cast someone else.” he said.

At which point, his agent begged them to see him again and the rest, as they say, is history. Now, back to the present.

This is what he looks like now!

He’s unrecognizable in his new, grown up body.

He continues to tell his story about how he got the part that changed his life.

“They flew me out to Arizona where they were shooting a bunch of football scenes with Cuba and I read for Tom and Cameron in Tom’s trailer and I got the part.”

He also played in ‘Stuart Little’ but he clearly remembers his time with Tom Cruise. He adds, “I haven’t talked to him in quite a while now but whenever I have reached out in the past, he’s been nothing but extremely kind and has given me great advice in my career.”

Here he is with this famous couple back in the day!

This is one of the first charming scenes between them in the movie:

His childhood career was a success and he has since taken big roles in some Indy films including ‘Loserville’ and ‘KANE’.

He is also a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and trained in martial arts.

Those who follow him on social media are overwhelmed by his new body and huge muscles.

Here’s a picture of him in the movie ‘Stuart Little’.

He recently published a video online for his movie dad, Tom Cruise’s Birthday but then he went into a major rant having this to say, “Everybody still thinks of me as the cute kid from Jerry Maguire. Never mind that I’m a talented, classically trailed adult actor capable of playing a wide variety of roles.”

One could only hope to have such a rant!
