In the mood for an indulgent feed this Saturday, but not feeling the cost of a standard takeaway or restaurant visit? Iceland might have you covered.

As Britain continues to feel the squeeze of the falling pound, Iceland has reintroduced one of its most popular – and cost-friendly – meal deals by popular demand.

From now until Sunday, the supermarket chain is offering brand-name pizza and wine for just £5.

Starting today, shoppers can get their hands on two Dr Oetker Ristorante pizzas and a bottle of Chilean wine for only a fiver.

In total, the two pizzas and wine would normally come to £11, meaning deal-hounds will save themselves £6.

The offer is a repeat of a deal that Iceland first started making to its shoppers back in October of last year.

The Ristorante pizzas available are Pepperoni-Salame and Pollo for the meat-eaters, or Mozzarella and Funghi for any herbivores looking to get stuck in.

Shoppers also have a choice of a 75cl bottle of white sauvignon blanc or red cabernet sauvignon from Anakena’s Birdman Series of wines.
