Quiz: Who’s Your Disney Prince Charming?

Quiz: Who’s Your Disney Prince Charming?

For a great many of us, the first lessons in love we ever learn come from Disney movies. The Hollywood studio’s celebrated animated features are known the world over for showing us the unifying power of love and romance. With very few exceptions (Alice in Wonderland and Moana, for instance), no Disney movie centred on a bold young heroine would be complete without her finding and falling in love with her hero. Songs are sung, vows are exchanged, and we are left certain in the knowledge that they two of them will live happily ever after.

There are, of course, those who don’t look too kindly on the romantic ideals promoted in Disney movies, particularly when we look all the way back to their earliest efforts. The fact that both Snow White and Sleeping Beauty are woken from their slumber after being kissed in an unconscious state raises serious questions about consent. Moreover, the suggestion that a young woman needs a man to rescue her, and that by extension she’s unable to take care of herself, has also drawn widespread criticism.

Even so, everyone enjoys a bit of make-believe, and no one should be made to feel guilty for wanting to indulge in that kind of simple romantic fantasy. Not every Disney princess needs a man to come and save the day, but it can certainly make for a nice reward once their adventure is over.

And don’t deny it: everyone’s imagined which Disney prince they might end up with in real life! If you’d like to know the answer to that age-old question, go ahead and take our test…
