We don’t know about you, but now we’re getting a bit older we can barely remember what we had for breakfast, let alone what we did when we were kids. There are however certain things that, once seen, immediately take us straight back to our childhood, and we’ve picked 18 of the very best for you to enjoy below. 1. The Red and Blue Rubber

Do you remember the legendary red and blue rubber? We were told that the blue part could erase pen, but in reality all it did was rip a hole in our piece of paper.

Raleigh bikes are one of the first things we remember when we look back at our childhood. There was the ‘Chopper’, ‘Burner’, ‘Bluebird’ and‘ Tomahawk’ along with many others. Which model did you own?

When you sat down to write your list of Christmas toy requests to Santa, where was the first place you went to for ideas? The Argos catalogue of course!

Although many of us still use Body Shop products to this day (it currently has a range of over 1’000 products in a whopping 3’049 stores spread over 66 countries), it is from the 1980s that we have our most treasured Body Shop memories.

We pretended we were organising our school duties, but in reality Fun Faxes contained a multitude of fun things to do behind our teacher’s backs.

Extremely popular and coming in many different forms, Top Trumps let us compare anything from cars to superheroes.

9. Kinder Surprise Egg Toys

The Teeny Turtles are the Kinder Egg toy we remember the clearest. Who can forget the little one breaking out of their egg, or the one eating a melon with a happy look on their face?

10. Cartoon Lunch Boxes

During our childhoods lunch boxes came adorned with all manner of our favourite TV shows and films. We particularly remember ones featuring The Care Bears, He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe, M.A.S.K., Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony and Transformers!

11. International STA Swimming Badges

We don’t know about you, but we felt a massive sense of achievement when we earned our 5 or 10 metre badges. And as for swimming even further, 50 or 100 metres seemed such a long way that achieving those distance was like winning the Olympics!

12. Polystyrene Planes

These simple planes were extremely cheap, but it didn’t matter because they provided hours of fun in seeing who could throw them the furthest!

13. Multi Coloured Biros

These multi coloured biros allowed us to create some colourful masterpieces when we should really have been completing our school work. We definitely remember the Bic pens with 4 colours, but do you also remember the massively thick pens that had 10?

14. Pez Dispensers

The only thing better than having sweets was having sweets be dispensed from our favorite TV or film character.

15. Dodgy P.E. Equipment

Was anyone else absolutely petrified of climbing to the top of the wall apparatus? And as for the benches, the right way round this were something to sit on and rest. But turned upside down they became a death trap that your teacher made you try to balance on and risk breaking your ankle!

16. Wade Animal Figurines

These Wade Animals was extremely adorable, and were a massively popular thing to collect when we were kids. How many did you own?

17. Panini Stickers

Of course there were the popular football Panini sticker albums, but we remember many other collections including He-Man, ThunderCats and Garfield.

Bringing some happiness and colour into our boring school classes, these wonderful rubbers were a joy to own and use!
