This list is not for the ‘fashion forward’ generation of today but back then, we certainly thought that we were! Therefore, we had only the best at our disposal in order to concoct the perfect outfit each and every day. Sometimes it was just in the way were wore these clothes that made it fashionable. Otherwise, we just added some of these cools things to our outfits and lives back in the 80s and 90s. Take a look at this list and see if you had good fashion sense back then:

1. JNCO Jeans.
This was for those who were into hip-hop or skating.

2. Slap Bracelets.
These were eventually banned from schools because kids were getting hurt when ‘slapping’ these on.

3. Fanny Packs.
I still think that these are a brilliant, hands-free way to carry your stuff!

[adunit mobile=”RTK_dVa8″]
4. Popped Collars.
This was the ‘preppy’ way of saying that you’re ready to take on the world.

[adunit mobile=”RTK_wCZW”]
5. Doc Martins.
These shoes were a real sign of fashion. It was an expensive way of saying that you don’t care about this sort of stuff because you were a rebel!

6. Chokers.
Nothing says ‘glamour’ like a good choker.

7. Jelly Bracelets.
Let’s see. . . popped collar, fanny pack, and these bracelets. . . yep. That’s my style back then!

8. Rope Chains.
This was popular for those who liked rap and hip-hop. Either way, a giant, golden rope was sooo cool!

9. Best Friend Necklaces.
Nothing says ‘best friends’ better than a public declaration around your neck!

10. Mini Back Packs.
These were for those who didn’t want to wear the fanny pack but still wanted a hands-free way to carry their stuff.

Nobody wore their Tees without these!
