Spears’s first two studio albums, …Baby One More Time (1999) and Oops!… I Did It Again (2000), were global successes and made her the best-selling teenage artist of all-time. Referred to as the “Princess of Pop”, Spears was regarded as a pop icon and credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

10. Britney and Natalie Portman share history

Britney Spears and the actress, Natalie Portman, were both understudies together for the off-Broadway play Ruthless.

The show was about a girl who’d literally kill for the lead in her school play.

9. She was exchanging emails with Prince William

Before marrying Kate Middleton, Prince William and Britney were sending emails back and forth, but nothing came of it.
