One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them. Hearing these words spoken sends shivers down my spine even now.

The Lord of The Rings films were one of the biggest cinematic triumphs of the 2000’s, and perhaps of all time. They bought a whole new audience to J.R.R Tolkein’s masterpiece of a book series, written between 1954 and 1955.

Peter Jackson’s take on Middle Earth is breathtakingly beautiful. New Zealand lends itself to the sweeping hills and mountains of Middle Earth.

The first film, The Fellowship of The Ring, was released all the way back in 2001, a whopping 18 years ago! It follows the story of young Frodo Baggins, who becomes burdened with the one ring, forged by the dark Lord Sauron.

Throughout the three films, Frodo, with the aid of his partner Samwise Gamgee and the rest of the Fellowship, must travel across Middle Earth to attempt to destroy the one ring in the fires of Mount Doom.
