Goodfellas Is Returning To Cinemas In January And Has A Brand New Trailer

This movie is based on a non-fiction book from 1985 ‘Wiseguy: Life in a Mafia Family’  by Nicholas Pileggi. It was later adapted into a movie and introduced to the world as, ‘Goodfellas’ in 1990 with a cast that includes Ray Liotta, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci and Lorraine Bracce. It has been almost 30 years since its release and now plans have been made to show it again, with a 4k restoration, on screens across the UK, courtesy of BFI in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures International.

Most people agree that this is hands-down the greatest gangster movie of all time! Now, it is coming back to movie theaters and for those who have never seen it on the big screen before, you’re in for a real treat! We’re hoping that this turns into a new trend so that we can all watch our favorites movies again in theaters but for now, we’re happy with just this one!

It had been said that this is Martin Scorsese’s ultimate masterpiece and it takes us through the rise and fall of mobster Henry Hill during the years from 1955 to 1980. The film was made on a $25 million dollar budget and was nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Directo including Joe Pesci as the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award as well. Needless to say, it was well received by all. Therefore, this new release has the public anxious for the new year to arrive so that they can have the opportunity to watch it again, or perhaps, for the first time!

It even features a brand new trailer for its impending release January 20th 2017.  This is a highly anticipated re-release of the classic movie that has people going crazy over it and for good reason.
